ODL: Affirming Diversity through Migration

The main object of this Socrates/ Minerva project is to develop an Open and Distance Learning (ODL) environment to support the teaching and understanding of the present European situation of migration. By combining their expertise in migration history and sociology with their knowledge of ODL and multimedia, the partners will help the younger generation identify with the problems and feelings of today´s newcomers through understanding and empathy. The project have partners in Norway, Ireland and Portugal representing colleges or universities, research institutions and schools. The Emigration Center participates in this important work, which is headed by the Portuguese Open University. For more information, please visit the website at http://jdeus.esoterica.pt/migra/
